International organizations condemn repression against protests in Nicaragua

On July 18, eleven international organizations condemned the repression against protests in Nicaragua, and urged the Nicaraguan government to respect human rights.

In addition, they urged the government to stop the violent acts committed; guarantee freedom of expression and assembly; cease arbitrary detentions and guarantee access to legal defense; to advance in a dialogue that leads to respect for human rights and democratic governance.
