Publication presenting the candidates to IACHR's Rapporteur for freedom of expression

July 1, 2014

In light of the upcoming election for the next Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression,  the Due Process of Law Foundation (DPLF), the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL) and  Open Society Justice Initiative prepared a joint publication presenting each of the candidates' views on relevant issues for the hemisphere.

This document seeks to bring greater transparency to the process and provide information to the public about the candidates' views.  We believe that civil society has a vital role to play in ensuring election processes that are transparent, supportive of diversity, and that promote candidates of the highest competence. We hope you find this document useful and informative.
