src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/back.dplf.org\/sites\/default\/files\/ron2.jpg?w=1180&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/>The Due Process of Law Foundation conveys its deepest sympathies and most profound regret for the unexpected passing of our long-time, founding Board member, Ronald Scheman.\u00a0\u00a0 We also express our gratitude for the life of service Ron dedicated to the causes of justice and human rights in the Americas, including through his work with DPLF.<\/p>\n<p>We recall with admiration Ron\u2019s outstanding personal traits as a member of our Board and of the hemispheric community.\u00a0 \u00a0He was unfailingly energetic, diligent, courteous, warm, professional, and generous with his time and talents.\u00a0 For us, Ron Scheman is simply irreplaceable.<\/p>\n<p>We need not speak now of Ron\u2019s many accomplishments in senior positions in the Organization of American States and the Inter-American Development Bank over nearly half a century.\u00a0 \u00a0What we can add to the public record is that, no matter how weighty and pressing his many responsibilities, Ron always found time to respond to requests for assistance from our Foundation, and to participate actively in our programs.<\/p>\n<p>We thank you, Ron, for all that you have done for the peoples of the Americas.\u00a0 We are honored to have been associated with
